Intertwining love affairs with baking, craft beer, and the community that food creates led us to where we are today. See some of the key moments that laid the foundation for Boujie Baking Co.'s Beer Kissed goodies.
Early 1990s — Our founder, Cassie, gets her first Easy Bake Oven. She quickly rejects the powdered mixes for her own "recipes". (And by recipes, we mean messy and strange concoctions — she hadn't quite honed her baking skills, but look at that creativity!)
2007 — Cassie realizes her lifelong love of cooking and baking are a great way to connect with others. She cooks for college friends, bakes for classmates, and hosts feasts while studying abroad. Friendships flourish, as do Cassie's skills in the kitchen.
2009 — Cassie arrives to Buenos Aires on a one-way ticket. She battles homesickness by baking, and ends up selling her heaps of baked goods at weekly street markets. Her plans for a master's degree are quickly ditched, as she realizes she needs to feed people delicious goodies for a living.
2011 — Freshly home from Argentina, Cassie continues her lifelong quest for unique flavor combinations. With the help of a local brewmaster, she begins experimenting with beer-infused baked goods. Without even realizing it, Cassie carves out a new niche in the specialty food industry, bringing the beer-infused food movement to grocery store shelves.
2016 — Meredith Maier-Ripley and Ryan Berndt become the owners of newly renamed, Beer Kissed! Meredith tackles business operations, continuing as Six Rivers Brewery beer sales coordinator while Ryan will oversee distribution and manage account relationships.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
